Dear all,
I'm relieved to find an active forum for EL teachers in Germany! I'm Denise, a master-student in the Netherlands, and I'm doing a research on the attitude of German students towards the English language (as well as English in German media, the level of English education in Germany etc.). I already interviewed 70 students of the University of Cologne but I also need some insights from teachers of English who are German or who are teaching in Germany. I hope some of you have the time to answer the following questions on short notice, it would really help me and strengthen the credibility of my research! If you're not comfortable to answer these question on this forum you can also e-mail me (denise_roggeveen@live.nl) These are the questions (try to specify your answer with a why.../because...) :
1a. Name:
1b. Native tongue:
2. Age:
3. Years of experience in ELT:
4. School/institution:
5. What do you think of the German education system? (schools, levels, materials)
6. What do you think of the level of English education in Germany?
7. What do you think of the level of teachers of English in Germany?
8. What improvements for English education in Germany would you suggest?

14. Are the materials provided for ELT sufficient in Germany?
15. Is the education for English teachers in Germany adequate?
16. Does the synchronization in German Media influence your students' level of English?
Any additional useful information or personal experiences in teaching English:
I hope some of you are able to help me, if you know any other teachers willing to answer these questions then please forward them along with my e-mail address,
Thank you,
Denise J. Roggeveen
